At T.C. Harris School, food service workers provide nutritional and appealing meals to children, adolescents and young adults with developmental disabilities and emotional disturbances in a residential setting. Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of basic cooking skills. Food Service workers are trained to use proper therapeutic approaches while assisting our clients.
Food Services workers are responsible for preparing the residents' meals, ensuring that meals adhere to the planned menu as well as individual dietary needs of residents, and cleaning of the kitchen/dining area.
